
Alvin Miles, a lifelong artisan, was born in Lawton, Oklahoma, and enriched by his upbringing across various parts of Europe, where he absorbed diverse architectural and carpentry influences, notably from the Black Forest in Germany. Melding his creative vision with aspirations in Civil/Biomechanical Engineering and Business, Alvin attended Baylor University, all while pursuing an Olympic Track and Field career. During this time, he honed his skills through work with carpentry, construction, and renovation companies.
Eventually settling in North Carolina, Alvin became a two-time Olympic contender and an entrepreneurial force. He launched several businesses, including Wonderfully Made Woodworks, which reflects his deep passion for artisanal craftsmanship, Amplifi Athletic Performance and Development, and HALO Salt Lounge, featuring a Himalayan Salt Cave in Cary, NC. Alvin’s journey is a testament to his dedication to blending tradition, innovation, and artistry across his varied ventures.
